The whole mythos about the first Avenger happened to be incredibly misleading, Tony thought as he listened to the tale. "So...a vampire made you...and left you...?" That seemed utterly cruel. "And you've been more or less dealing with things since? That bites. No pun intended."

Tony rolled over onto his back and for a moment, just looked up at the ceiling before he allowed his eyes to droop closed.

"Guess we just live in a more accepting time now. So welcome to the modern age, Steve Rogers. I promise we won't suck half as bad as the people you use to know." He smirked. "That one was intended."
